Hour Distribution
Hours are distributed according to a distribution factor that is calculated as the adjusted value divided by the original value.
For example, if:
- Parent original hours = 3000
- Parent adjusted hours = 5000
Then, the distribution factor is calculated using the following formula:
- Distribution factor = parent Adjusted Hours / parent Budget Hours
- = 5000/3000
- = 1.66666667
- This factor is then applied to all the child locations.
Suppose that the child-location hours are:
- Child 1 = 1200
- Child 2 = 1800
After applying the distribution factor:
- Child 1 = 1200 * 1.66666667= 2000
- Child 2 = 1800 * 1.66666667 = 3000
