Employee Student Filter

The Employee Student Filter takes into account the employee's school calendar, which is stored in the Employee Schools section of their employee profile. You can use this filter to comply with labor laws regulating the scheduling of minor employees attending school.

In the Auto Assignment group, you can set up the Employee Student Filter to include or exclude employees according to their school attendance status. This filter uses the employee's school calendar, which contains details such as the name of the school, attendance start date, and attendance end date.

After the Employee Student Filter has been set up, the system verifies whether the employee is linked to a school and takes their school calendar into consideration.

During the scheduling period, the system determines whether the employee is a student based on their school attendance time range. If the scheduling period falls within the employee's attendance time range, they are considered a student for that scheduling period.

If there is a partial overlap between the employee's school calendar and the scheduling period, the employee is considered a student for the entire scheduling period. This ensures accurate selection and filtering of students attending school during the scheduling time range.

School in Session

The Auto Assignment system distinguishes between students attending school and students who are not attending school during the scheduling period.

Select the School in Session check box in the Employee Student Filter for when school is in session. When the scheduling period falls on one or more school days (excluding exception days), the system considers the employee as attending school throughout the entire scheduling period, and they are selected by the Auto Assignment group.
