Configuring Auto-Assignment rules using the calendar month option
Calendar month rules provide fan the entire calendar month, regardless of the scheduling period's duration.
To use calendar month rules, when you are configuring rules, select those that have "Per Time Period" in the name and select "Calendar Month" in the Time Period field. This ensures that rules are applied to months. Configuration details are in another section. Configuring shift rules
Calendar month rules are not compatible with employee-specific rules. If an existing time period specific rule has the "Use employee specific values" option set, the calendar month option is not available for selection through the Time Period field.
Calendar month rules can be set as hard or soft constraints.
The system notifies users through error message or email if a rule has not been met, has been violated or has been adjusted to meet minimum requirements.
If a hard constraint violation occurs during a day of the month that is not part of the scheduling period, the schedule generation will proceed and an error will be not be generated. For a soft constraint, if the minimum hours are not met for a month, the system will generate additional shifts to meet the requirement, even if it causes over-staffing per workload requirements.
