Authorization
Supervisors are responsible for authorizing events and violations before they are processed by the Workforce Management system. Because supervisors can exercise some control over back-end processing by reprocessing records, the system only processes events and violations that have been authorized by a supervisor. It does not process information from previous time periods.
Authorization follows these steps:
- Supervisors authorize events on the timesheet.
- A violation is triggered if its threshold is reached. For example, an employee is late twice in one week.
- Supervisors authorize the violation using the Attendance Management Authorization Form.
- Attendance Management performs the violation’s action. For example, an employee is sent a notification.
In addition to authorizing events and violations, a supervisor can also reprocess records for a given period in these circumstances:
- An error occurred during auto-processing
- Historical records changed
- Pending events or violations were not authorized before auto-processing occurred
