Configuring Access Privileges - On-premise deployments only
Archiving data to another database schema is achieved when access privileges are granted.
Another Database Schema (ARCHIVE_MODE=SCHEMA)
The archive schema must provide privileges to the core schema to:
- Select from any table in the archive schema mode.
- Insert into any table in the archive schema mode.
The following example illustrates how access privileges are provided to the core schema in Oracle:
CREATE USER ARCHIVE IDENTIFIED BY VALUES '679459CE431927F9'
DEFAULT TABLESPACE USERS
TEMPORARY TABLESPACE TEMP
PROFILE DEFAULT
ACCOUNT UNLOCK
/
GRANT "CONNECT" TO ARCHIVE
/
GRANT "RESOURCE" TO ARCHIVE
/
ALTER USER ARCHIVE DEFAULT ROLE "CONNECT",
"RESOURCE"
/
GRANT ALTER ANY TABLE TO ARCHIVE
/
GRANT CREATE ANY INDEX TO ARCHIVE
/
GRANT CREATE ANY TABLE TO ARCHIVE
/
GRANT DROP ANY TABLE TO ARCHIVE
/
GRANT GRANT ANY PRIVILEGE TO ARCHIVE
/
