Creating a Consumer Key and Consumer Secret

A Consumer Key and Consumer Secret are used by Workforce Management to authenticate external systems for API access. You can generate multiple keys, but each key can only be assigned to one consumer.

  1. Log in to Workforce Management.
  2. Navigate to Maintenance > Security > API Security > API Consumer OAuth.
  3. In the API Consumer Name box, select the API Consumer for which you want to create a Consumer Key and Consumer Secret.
  4. Click Go.
  5. Click the "+" icon to create the Consumer Key and Consumer Secret.
    Note: If you get an application error, it likely means that the master keystore file has not been configured in your WFM environment. See "Setting Up the Master Keystore File for WFM" in the Infor Workforce Management Installation and Configuration Guide.
  6. A Consumer Key and Consumer Secret are now generated and displayed. Write down the Consumer Secret and store in a safe place. The secret will be hidden after you move away from this page in the application.
You also have the option of deleting a key by clicking the Delete button and regenerating a key by clicking the Regenerate button.
