Creating a new API Consumer

Consumers represent external systems that must be authenticated for API access.

  1. Log in to Workforce Management.
  2. Navigate to Maintenance > Security > API Security > API Consumer.
  3. Click Create New Entry.
  4. Specify this information:
    API Consumer Name
    Specify the name for the API Consumer.
    API Consumer Description
    Specify a description for the API Consumer.
    API Consumer Active
    To make an API Consumer active for an API, select the API Consumer Active check box for your API. If you want to remove access for an API Consumer, deselect the check box.
    User
    Select the default user for the consumer.
    Note: If you are creating a new API consumer for the WFM Suite, select IONAPIUSER_CORE.
  5. Click Save to create the new API Consumer.
