Handling employee for the designated ION API user

Use these steps to assign the designated ION API user as an active employee within Workforce Management.

Note: This procedure is optional if you're using an existing user to test your API calls.

For detailed instructions on creating the employee import and task, see "Employee import process" in the Infor Workforce Management Time and Attendance Implementation and Administration Guide.

  1. Log in to Workforce Management as a WFM system administrator.
  2. Create a CSV file for the employee you created in Creating a user for the external integration and set the Employee Team to WORKBRAIN_ROOT hierarchy.
  3. Upload the file on the server where WFM Job Scheduler can access it.
  4. In Workforce Management, navigate to Maintenance > System Administration > Interfaces > Copy Interface Layout.
  5. Locate the ION EMPLOYEE INTERFACE TEMPLATE and create a copy.
    1. Specify a name for the new interface layout in the New Layout Name field.
    2. Specify a short description for the new interface layout in the New Layout Description field.
    3. Click Go. A message is displayed informing you that your new layout has been created.
  6. Navigate to Maintenance > System Administration > Interfaces > Interface Layouts and locate the copy you created.
