Routing notifications by time off type
By default, all time off request notifications are routed to the roles that are specified in the ROLES_TO_NOTIFY_ON_NEW_REQUEST registry parameter. For more flexibility, you can route notifications of time off requests to different roles, depending on the time off type. For example, you can route notifications for vacation requests to a supervisor and maternity leave requests to an HR administrator.
- If a time off type does not have any role(s) configured to be notified, then the roles defined in the ROLES_TO_NOTIFY_ON_NEW_REQUEST registry will be used.
- If a time off type has roles configured to be notified but no user(s) matching the specified role(s) are found, starting from the employee's team and working up the team hierarchy, then the roles defined in the ROLES_TO_NOTIFY_ON_NEW_REQUEST registry will be used.
- If a time off type has roles configured to be notified and user(s) matching the specified role(s) are found, then the ROLES_TO_NOTIFY_ON_NEW_REQUEST registry parameter is ignored.
See the Infor Workforce Management Registry Parameter Reference Guide.
If a request includes multiple time off types, then all parts of the submitted request are included in the notification. The notification is routed to all users who are assigned to a specified role on the employee's team for one of the time off types.
