Granting or revoking group permissions for override types
If you do not set override permissions for a security group, members of the group will not be able to view or edit an override type.
- Select Maintenance > Payroll Settings > Advanced Payroll Settings > Override Types.
- Click Edit next to the override type for which you want to edit security group permissions.
- Scroll down to the Override Type Permissions section.
- Select the security group for which you want to set permissions using the Security Group lookup.

Select one of these permission types to grant to the security
group using the
Permissions lookup:
- Edit: Assigns edit
permissions to members of the security group for the selected override type.
For example, a supervisor can view a LTA override when the LTA override is displayed on an employee’s timesheet. As well, a supervisor can add, modify, delete, or copy the override from the timesheet. The override type is displayed in the New Edit drop-down list.
- None: Prevents members of the security group from viewing or editing the selected override type.

View: Assigns
view-only permissions to members of the security group for the selected
override type.
For example, employees can view a RATE override that is displayed on their timesheet, but they cannot add, modify, delete, or copy the override from the timesheet.
- Edit: Assigns edit
permissions to members of the security group for the selected override type.
- Click Save.
