Full Recalculate Task

You may occasionally want to run a Full Recalculate Task at the beginning of payroll to ensure the records are up to date and then run the Recalculate Task to capture only changed employees.

For example, future dated overrides can be created that do not trigger any other recalculation. Running the Full Recalculate Task at the beginning of the pay period would ensure records reflect overrides created this way.

The Full Recalculate Task completes these steps:

  • Recalculate all records for certain employees, filtered by calculation group, pay group, or team.
  • Recalculate all records for absolute dates or relative dates.

The Full Recalculate Task may not be feasible for installations with a high number of employees (for example, 100,000 employees at 25 records per second takes about 8 hours to run).
