Notification bar
The notification bar is designed to provide quick access to functions that are performed most frequently by a user. The notification bar is anchored to the bottom of the screen and is visible at all times when enabled. You can enable or disable the notification bar using the /system/widgetbar/showWidgetBar registry.
The information displayed in the notification bar is based on a user's direct reports. The system follows the logic defined in the DIRECT_REPORTS_TEAM_LEVELS registry. This registry setting lets organizations define the number of levels down in the hierarchy that a team can be and still have the team's employees be considered a direct report.
See the Infor Workforce Management Registry Parameter Reference Guide.
The buttons that are displayed correlate to the role of the user and their group security permissions within the application. Each button displays a counter reflecting the total associated data transactions and provides a visual indication of transactions that are created during the current session. The details of each transaction within each category of data are accessed by a direct link to the page where the action will be performed.
The notification bar displays icons for these types of notifications:
- Action Items
- Alerts
- Timesheet Alerts
- Time Punch Alerts
- My Employees
The system administrator configures which buttons are accessible to an authorized user by using the TURN ON config mode option. See Configuration tools.
