Setting up alternate or delegate users
- Select Maintenance > Security > Users.
- Click Edit next to the user to which a referenced user is to be assigned.
- Click Add below the User Delegation grid.

Specify this information:
- Start Date
- Specify the date on which the referenced user begins taking responsibility.
- End Date
- Specify the date on which the referenced user stops taking responsibility.
- To User
- Optionally, to select a specific user who will act as the current user, specify the user here. If you specify a user, do not specify a role in the Or to this Role field.
- Or to this Role
- Optionally, to select a role that will act as the current user, specify the role here. If you specify a role, do not specify a user in the To User field.
- Assigned Role
- Specify the user’s role for which the referenced user will be assuming responsibility.
- Delegation Type
- Select one of these options:
- ALTERNATE: The referenced user acts as a substitute to the current user only on the occasion that the current user is not scheduled to work or is on a long-term absence. The referenced user is limited to their assigned role within the specified start and end dates.
- DELEGATE: The referenced user acts as a substitute to the current user for all occasions, limited to their assigned role and form types, within the specified start and end dates.
Note: Do not select PROXY. - For Forms
- Select the interactions that the alternate or delegate will be
able to receive.
If you are specifying an alternate, you must specify ALL so the user becomes the alternate for all interactions. If you are specifying a delegate, you can select individual interactions.
- Click Save.
