Employee status clock validation rule
If mobility is used to perform clock transactions, you can enable the employee status clock validation rule to prohibit employees from clocking while they are inactive. If an employee attempts to perform a clock transaction on their device while they are inactive, then the clock will be prohibited by the system. In this case, a configurable clock validation error message will be displayed on the employee's device or browser.
To determine whether an employee is designated as inactive, the rule checks the value of the clocking employee's EMPLOYEE_HISTORY.EMP_STATUS. If the employee's EMP_STATUS is set to a value other than A (active), the system will not allow the employee to record a clock.
Note: This validation does not
apply to physical clocks. The clock server prohibits employees designated as inactive in
the WFM application from clocking using these clock methods.
