Block manual work details

To configure the Day Split Rule to prevent employees from manually entering work details after the day split time, select the Block manual Work Detail entries on or after Day Split Time check box in the rule parameters.

You can specify which work details will be blocked based on their time codes and hour types. The list of eligible time codes or hour types that you specify can be inclusive or exclusive. For example, if you specify an inclusive list of time codes, then all of the codes that you specify are blocked. If you specify an exclusive list, then the time codes that you specify are not blocked, and all others are.

For example, suppose the current time is 11 PM, the day split time for an employee's calc group is 12 AM, and the employee tries to enter a work detail for 4 AM the next day. If the time code or the hour type that the employee specifies is blocked, the system will show an error and will not save the work detail. If the day split time is 12 AM, even a work detail from 8 PM to 8 AM that spans the day split will be blocked.

Note: The time codes and hour types that you specify for blocking manual clocks should not overlap with the time codes and hour types that you specify for splitting work details. Splitting work details and blocking manual clocks are conflicting actions, so any time codes or hour types that are shared between the two will cause errors.
