Defining the auto recalculation and recalculation time periods for calculation groups
After you define the global recalculation behavior, you must define the time period that is recalculated by the rule engine when a change is made to employee data in the past. For example, if a supervisor makes a change to an employee’s timesheet three weeks ago, several different time periods can be recalculated based on the employee’s calculation group’s settings.
- Select Maintenance > System Administration > Toolkit > Quick Rule Editor.
- Select a calculation group in the Calculation Group field.
- Click Go.
-
Specify this
information:
- Auto Recalc
- This field determines the initial range of dates to be
recalculated in relation to the timesheet date being changed. Select
one of these options:
- ACTUAL: The application only recalculates the date on which the change was made.
- ENTIRE WEEK: The application recalculates the entire week during which the change was made. The dates of the week are determined based on the DAY_WEEK_STARTS registry parameter.
- ENTIRE PAY PERIOD: The application recalculates the entire pay period during which the change was made.
- ENTIRE MONTH: The application recalculates the entire month during which the change was made.
- ENTIRE SCHEDULE
PERIOD: The application recalculates the
entire schedule period during which the change was made. The
schedule period is defined by a start date and number of
weeks and is configured under Maintenance > Schedule Settings > Schedule Period.
The schedule period is determined based on the schedule period associated with the home team that the employee belongs to on the day the change was made. See "Schedule periods" in the Infor Workforce Management MVS Implementation and Administration Guide.
- Recalculation Period
- This field determines the range of dates to be recalculated
in relation to the current date. Select one of these options:
- ACTUAL: The application only recalculates the date on which the change was made.
- TILL SYSTEM DATE: The application recalculates starting from the date on which the change was made, up to the current system date.
- TILL END OF CURRENT PAYPERIOD: The application recalculates starting from the date on which the change was made, up to the end of the current pay period.
- ENTIRE MONTH: The application recalculates starting from the date on which the change was made, up to the end of the current month.
- TILL END OF CURRENT SCHEDULE
PERIOD: The application recalculates
starting from the date on which the change was made, up to
the end of the current schedule period. The schedule period
is defined by a start date and number of weeks and is
configured under Maintenance > Schedule Settings > Schedule Period.
The schedule period is determined based on the schedule period associated with the home team that the employee belongs to on the day the change was made. See "Schedule periods" in the Infor Workforce Management MVS Implementation and Administration Guide.
These two time periods are joined to create the time period that the rule engine recalculates. For example, you could set the rule engine to recalculate the entire week during which the change was made, and recalculate up to the current date. Or if you set the Recalculation Period to ACTUAL, and leave Auto Recalc set to ENITIRE WEEK, only the week during which the change was made is recalculated.
