Day Split Rule
See "Scheduling the Process Clocks task" in the Infor Workforce Management Interfaces Administration Guide.
For example, suppose an employee records an ON clock at 10:00 PM on November 2, and an OFF clock at 6:00 AM on November 3. If the Day Split Rule is not configured, both clocks are recorded on the employee's timesheet for the day the shift started, November 2. If the Day Split Rule is configured, the ON clock can be recorded on the timesheet for November 2, and the OFF clock on the timesheet for November 3.
To configure the Day Split Rule, you must first specify a day split time, such as 12 AM. By default, the rule uses the day split time defined for a calculation group.
See Setting a day split time for a calc group.
Alternatively, you can override the day split time defined for the calc group and specify a day split time in the Day Split Rule parameters.
See Day Split Rule parameters.
Depending on how it is configured, the Day Split Rule completes these steps:
- Add system-generated clocks at the day split time.
- Split work details at the day split time.
- Block employees from entering clocks manually beyond the day split time.
We recommend that you configure more than one instance of the Day Split Rule at different execution points to handle these different scenarios.
