System error occurs when shift trade actions are made
A system error occurs when shift trade actions are performed, for example when an employee
submits a shift trade request, if the system cannot start the Workflow task. By default, shift
trade workflows are configured with the Immediate
check box selected. This means that a Workflow task is started immediately when an action is
performed by a user. A system error results if an action occurs when the Workflow task is
paused. A system error can also occur if an action happens and the Workflow task has not been
added to the job scheduler. To enable shift trades, the Workflow task must be scheduled to run
on a recurring basis in the job scheduler. Ensure that the Workflow task has been added to the
job scheduler and that it is not paused.
Note: Shift
trade workflows are always immediate when shift trade actions are submitted from the Self
Service Portal.
