Shift trade workflows and forms
Default workflows are included to provide out-of-the-box functionality. You can customize shift trade workflows to change the behavior for trade requests, such as by adding additional approval or validation steps. Workflows are customized using Form Studio.
The system includes this default workflow:
- Shift Trade
- This workflow is used for predetermined shift trades, including shift swaps and giveaways.
See these topics for more details:
- For details on the default behavior of shift trade workflows, see Schedule compliance.
- For details on Form Studio, see "Using Form Studio" in the Infor Workforce Management Application Configuration Guide.
Workflow task
The Workflow task moves pending transactions through the workflow process. To use the Shift Trade module, the Workflow task must be added to the job scheduler and scheduled to run on a recurring basis. By default, shift trade workflows start immediately when an action is performed by a user. Shift trade workflows can be configured to perform asynchronously by clearing the Immediate check box in Form Studio.
Shift trade forms
Shift trade forms control the information in the Workmail messages that are sent to users during shift trade transactions. These messages inform users about the status or outcome of a request. They are also used to obtain approval decisions from users.
Default forms are included to provide out-of-the-box functionality for shift trades. This table lists the default forms:
Form name | Function | Used in | Editable |
---|---|---|---|
Shift Trade-Give Away | Predetermined shift giveaways | Self Service Portal | Yes |
Shift Trade-Swap | Predetermined shift swaps | Self Service Portal | Yes |
Shift Trade | Predetermined shift swaps and giveaways | Mobility, Admin Portal | No |
You can modify the behavior of forms listed as editable in Form Studio.
