Proxy users

If the user proxy feature is enabled, users can select Proxy in the Self Service Portal's menu to act as other users.

The Proxy page shows a card for the current user, and a card for each other user that the current user can act as. To act as another user, the current user selects that user's card.

To enable proxy users, these settings must be configured in the Admin Portal:

  • In the registry, the system/WORKBRAIN_PARAMETERS/ENABLE_USER_PROXIES parameter must be set to TRUE.
  • For the user who will act as a proxy, the Can Proxy check box must be selected.
  • For the security group of the user who will act as a proxy, the Wbg Can Proxy check box must be selected.
  • To allow a user to be represented by a proxy, you must designate specific users who are able to act as proxies.
