Examples
This section includes some practical examples of shifts that violate or pass this schedule compliance rule.
Example Configuration
The following examples use these configuration settings:
- Max Hours / Schedule: 60
- LFSO Schedule Period: 10 Days
Example 1 - Pass
Employee A is scheduled to work:
- Day 1 8:00 AM - 6:00 PM
- Day 2 8:00 AM - 6:00 PM
- Day 3 4:00 PM - 10:00 PM
- Day 4 4:00 PM - 10:00 PM
- Day 5 OFF
- Day 6 OFF
- Day 7 OFF
- Day 8 8:00 AM - 6:00 PM
- Day 9 4:00 PM - 10:00 PM
- Day 10 4:00 PM - 10:00 PM
Schedule compliance does not return a violation because the total scheduled hours (54 hours) do not exceed the limit (60 hours).
Example 2 - Violation (extra shift)
Employee B is scheduled to work:
- Day 1 8:00 AM - 6:00 PM
- Day 2 8:00 AM - 6:00 PM
- Day 3 4:00 PM - 10:00 PM
- Day 4 4:00 PM - 10:00 PM
- Day 5 OFF
- Day 6 OFF
- Day 7 8:00 AM - 6:00 PM
- Day 8 8:00 AM - 6:00 PM
- Day 9 4:00 PM - 10:00 PM
- Day 10 4:00 PM - 10:00 PM
Schedule compliance returns a violation because the scheduled hours (64 hours) total exceeds the limit (60 hours).
Example 3 - Pass
Employee C is scheduled to work:
- Day 1 8:00 PM - 6:00 AM
- Day 2 8:00 PM - 6:00 AM
- Day 3 OFF
- Day 4 OFF
- Day 5 8:00 PM - 6:00 AM
- Day 6 8:00 PM - 6:00 AM
- Day 7 8:00 PM - 6:00 AM
- Day 8 8:00 PM - 6:00 AM
- Day 9 OFF
- Day 10 OFF
Schedule compliance does not return a violation because the total scheduled hours (60 hours) do not exceed the limit (60 hours). The 10 hours attributed to the previous LFSO schedule period are not considered.
Example 4 - Violate
Employee D is scheduled to work:
- Day 1 8:00 PM - 6:00 AM
- Day 2 8:00 PM - 6:00 AM
- Day 3 OFF
- Day 4 OFF
- Day 5 8:00 PM - 6:00 AM
- Day 6 8:00 PM - 6:00 AM
- Day 7 8:00 PM - 6:00 AM
- Day 8 8:00 PM - 6:00 AM
- Day 9 OFF
- Day 10 8:00 PM - 6:00 AM
Schedule compliance returns a violation because the total scheduled hours (70 hours) exceed the limit (60 hours). The 10 hours on Day 10 are attributed to the current LFSO schedule period.
