Example Configuration

The following examples use these configuration settings:

Break Time Codes: BRK

Example 1 - Violation

Employee A is scheduled to work:

  • Monday: 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM with one 15 minute break and one 60 minute break.
  • Tuesday: 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM with one 15 minute break and one 60 minute break.
  • Wednesday: 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM with one 15 minute break and one 60 minute break.
  • Thursday 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM with one 15 minute break.
  • Friday 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM with one 15 minute break and one 60 minute break.

Schedule compliance returns a violation because the employee works for 6 hours without a break on Thursday.

Example 2 - Pass (multiple shifts)

Employee B is scheduled to work:

  • Monday: 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM with one 15 minute break and one 60 minute break.
  • Tuesday: 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM with one 15 minute break and one 60 minute break.
  • Wednesday: 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM with one 15 minute break and one 60 minute break.
  • Thursday 8:00 AM - 12:00 PM and 2:00 PM - 6:00 PM.
  • Friday 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM with one 15 minute break and one 60 minute break.

Schedule compliance does not return a violation because the employee has a break between two 4-hour shifts on Thursday.
