Schedule bids

A schedule bid is a set of shifts and shift patterns that can be filled for a specified time period through a bidding process. Employees are assigned to schedule bids through bid groups and can bid on shifts and shift patterns within the schedule available to them. After all the qualified employees have bid or their bid windows expire, the module calculates which employees are assigned to which shifts or shift patterns.

Schedule bids define these entities:

• Bid period
• Bid window
• Bid mode
• Preferential bidding
