Bid windows
All employees who are eligible to bid on a shift or shift pattern are given a bid window. During a bid window, employees have access to the schedule bid to bid on the shifts or shift patterns they prefer. If employees do not bid during their allocated bid windows, they will be unable to bid for shifts or shift patterns at all. Their shifts are assigned according to their preferences (if their bid group uses preferences) or assigned manually by the administrator.
The number of employees that can bid within a particular window depends on the schedule bid mode (sequential, concurrent, or a combination). Within a particular time window, one employee, a subset of employees, or all employees can bid.
After bid window information is specified for a particular schedule bid, an administrator calculates the individual bid windows.
