Pausing and un-pausing bids

If you pause a bid, it becomes temporarily inactive in the system: employees cannot bid on the schedule and you can modify the bid if necessary. Bids can be paused at any time.

When you pause a bid, you must un-pause it or the bid will remain inactive in the system. When you un-pause a bid, you are asked whether to recalculate bid windows. This is necessary if the pause time interferes with an employee’s bid window or if you have made changes to the bid.

If you re-calculate bid windows, the module recalculates the employee bid windows based on any elapsed time and changes to the bid while the bid was paused. You must notify employees of their updated bid windows. Otherwise, the bid windows remain as they were originally, regardless of whether you modified the bid windows while the bid was paused.
