Editing and approving time
Approving time
If an employee's actual start and end time for a particular day fall within the scheduled time, and taking into consideration any grace and rounding rules, then the system will have already authorized the time and no action is required. Authorized time contains a green check mark in the cell.
If no edits are required, then complete these steps to approve the time:
- Position the cursor in the cell with the time that you want to approve.
- Click the cell.
A green check mark is displayed indicating that the time is approved.
If the employee's worked time does not conform to the scheduled time, you must edit or approve the time.
Editing time
If an employee's time for a particular day must be edited, you can drill down using the caret icon. The drill down process takes you from the worksheet to the timesheet for a specific day. From the timesheet, you can make the necessary edits before authorizing the day.
Click Show Edits to edit overrides or shifts that were created in the Multi-view Scheduler (MVS). If a shift was created in the MVS, you can click Edit Advanced Schedule Detail to edit the shift in the Advanced Schedule View.
When you are finished, click
below the timesheet grid.
