Selecting self-scheduling shifts
You can select available shifts from the Self Scheduling screen to add them to your schedule. At least one self-scheduling process must be open for you to access the Self Scheduling screen.
- Select Self Scheduling from the application menu or header menu.

If there is more than one self-scheduling process open for you, select the
correct process using one of these methods:
- In desktop view, select the process from the Processes drop-down.
- In smartphone view, tap Settings. Select the process from the Process Selection drop-down, and then tap Okay.
Note: Selecting a different process clears any un-submitted shifts selected from the current process. Ensure that you submit any selected shifts before selecting a different process. -
Select a date in the calendar that has available shifts.
Dates with available shifts are marked with a triangle in the bottom right corner. When you select a date, the Available Shifts popup lists the shifts that are available on that date.Note: If default shifts have been configured for you, you can quickly select your default shifts.

Select the shift that you want to add to your schedule.
The shift label for the selected shift is displayed in the calendar.
- Select additional shifts as required to create your schedule.

When you are finished selecting shifts, click Submit.
If the selected schedule violates any scheduling rules, then a message is displayed. If only warning rules are violated, then the schedule is submitted, and a warning message is displayed.

Click Okay.
If error rules are violated, then the schedule cannot be submitted, and an error message is displayed. Click Okay, update the schedule to correct the errors, and then resubmit the schedule.
