PUBLISH_RESULT_DEFAULT
- Description:
-
This parameter defines the default status of ad-hoc shifts created from the Advanced Schedule View (ASV).
In operations where shifts are generated from rotation schedules as Unpublished shifts, this registry parameter should be set to UNPUBLISHED. In such an operation, the addition of ad-hoc shifts is often part of the schedule planning exercise, which makes publishing these shifts undesirable.
Shifts are eventually published from the ASV, as the schedule period becomes finalized. In such an environment, ad-hoc shifts created in schedule periods that have been published from the ASV at least once, are created in Published status. Conversely, ad-hoc shifts created in schedule periods that have not yet been published before, are in the Unpublished status.
In operations where shifts are always created as Published shifts, additional publishing from the ASV is not necessary. Employees can have visibility into shifts even during the planning phase. Ad-hoc shifts can be published directly as they are added to the schedule. In such cases, the registry parameter should be set to PUBLISHED. This setting enables all ad-hoc shifts to be created as published shifts, regardless of whether the schedule period has been published.
