AUTO_RECALC_FUTURE_BALANCES
- Location
- system/ruleEngine/
- Description
- This parameter controls whether the Rule Engine recalculates
future balance dates when a balance changes. The recalculation is done to ensure
that the balance's minimum and maximum values are not exceeded. In some
situations, disabling the recalculation of future balance dates improves the
performance of the Weekly Timesheet. If work records are created for months in
advance and every week in the future has days when employee balances change due to
an entitlement policy, then the Rule Engine recalculates every day in the future
when balances change.
When set to True, future balance dates are included when the Rule Engine performs calculations. This is the default.
Note: This parameter is a global setting. You can selectively enable or disable future balance calculation for specific tasks based on your use cases and business requirements. These tasks typically perform future balance calculations:
- Full Recalculate Task
- Holiday Assignment Task
- Interface Task for Employee Import
- Recalculate Task
- Start of Day Task
For each task, the value of the Process Future Balance Dates parameter controls whether future balance values are recalculated:
- Default: The global setting is used for the task.
- TRUE or FALSE: The task setting overrides the global setting.
For more information on these tasks, see the Infor Workforce Management Time and Attendance Implementation and Administration Guide.
Note: You can optionally use the SKIP_FUTURE_BALANCE_RECALC_ON_EXTREME_MINMAX parameter to skip recalculating future balance dates that have extreme minimum and maximum values. - Valid values
