Reverting shift swaps

You can revert full or partial shift swaps in Central Staffing to return the shifts to their originally assigned employees. Shift swaps can be reverted under these conditions:
  • The shift swap must have been performed in Central Staffing or ASV. Shift swaps performed by employees in mobility cannot be reverted using this feature.
  • The employees included in the shift swap must still be assigned to the swapped shifts. The swapped shifts cannot be booked off or swapped again with another employee.
  • The swapped shifts cannot be locked.
  • Reverting the shifts back to the originally assigned employees must not cause any schedule compliance errors or schedule overlaps.
Note: Reverting a shift swap discards any edits that were made to the shifts after the shift swap was performed.

If the same shift is involved in multiple shift swaps, the shift swaps must be reverted in order from newest to oldest. See this example:

Reverting a series of shift swaps

Employee A is assigned to a Day shift, employee B to an Eve shift, and employee C to a Night shift.

  1. Employee A's Day shift is swapped with employee B's Eve shift.
  2. Employee B's Day shift is swapped with employee C's Night shift.

After the shifts are swapped, employee A is assigned to the Eve shift, employee B to the Night shift, and employee C to the Day shift. To return the employees to their original shifts, you must first revert the swap between employees B and C performed in step 2. You can then revert the swap between employees A and B performed in swap 1.
