Configuring a label property for a skill
You can create a label for the skill that you plan to begin adding to schedules.
- Select Scheduling > Multi-view Scheduler > Advanced Settings > ES Data Definitions > Shift Label Properties.
- Click Create New Entry.
- Specify this information:
- Label Property Name
- Specify a unique name for the label, for example, SKILL.
- Label Property Description
- Optionally, provide a description for the label.
- Label Type Name
- Select String.
- Label Type UI
- Select DBLookUpUI to enable the selection of the Skills field from a list under the Property tab.
- Label Type UI Parameters
- Provide information in this field to support custom values for queries and data sources.
- For
example:

- Label Type Additional UI Parameters
- Select this check box to display an extra field on the Property tab of the shift configuration.
- Click Save.
- Configure values for the skill property. Select Scheduling > Multi-view Scheduler > Advanced Settings > ES Data Definitions > Shift Configuration.
- From the list of shifts, locate the shift to which you can configure values for the skill property and click the Edit icon.

On the Edit Shifts page, locate the SKILL property and configure values.
Populate the Value field in this format: [PROFICIENCY]~[#]~[Y] or [N]
where
PROFICIENCY~# is the proficiency and weight. For example, RN~50.
Y or N determines if the skill is mandatory or optional. Use Y for required.
For example,
RN~50~Y
means that the shift is staffed by an RN with a minimum of 50% proficiency. - Repeat step 7 as needed to configure additional skill values for this shift.
- Click Save.
