Jobs

Shifts in MVS are associated with a job. The job assures that the assigned employees are qualified to work the shifts. Jobs are associated to the teams for which the schedules are established. Employees to be scheduled using MVS require the job qualifications for the shift. A shift that has a job assigned to it will adopt the labor metrics assigned to that job. Jobs can have associated jobs, which are treated as equivalent jobs that can satisfy a shift's job qualifications. Shifts can also be assigned the job of ANY, which will allow the shift to adopt the job of the employee assigned to it.

An employee in MVS must have a preferred job assigned to them. A secondary job can be assigned to an employee if needed. Secondary jobs can be used for staff who often work in other areas or departments, or second jobs within an organization.
