Booking off an on-call shift
On-call shifts can be booked off. The on-call time, when booked off, maintains the same activity in the relief shift. The work time inside of the on-call time may change activity in the relief shift, depending on the Relief Activity Code configuration in MVS.
Example: Booking off an on-call shift
A shift (OC-D) is assigned to an employee in the CARDIO team. The OC-D shift contains 7:00 to 19:00 on-call time. The employee is also scheduled with 9:00 to 17:00 work time while on-call, and given a meal break from 13:00 to 13:30.
When you book off the OC-D shift from 10:00 to 19:00, a relief shift is generated from 10:00 to 19:00. The relief shift contains these details:
- Work time from 10:00 to 17:00, based on the relief activity mapping, if it exists
- Break from 13:00 to 13:30
- On-call time with the same activity as OC-D for 17:00 to 19:00
