Cloning and editing in child teams

If you need to modify a shift attribute for a child team subscribing to a shift, but other teams sharing the same shift do not require this attribute change, then you can use the "Clone and Edit" option with the child team. This option creates a clone of the subscribed shift. Once cloned, you can make changes to the clone.

The date on which a clone becomes effective in the child team is a date after the date on which the inherited shift was last used. Changes made to the originally-subscribed shift after the effective date of the clone no longer affect the child team. The child team now uses the cloned shift for scheduling.

  1. Select Scheduling > Multi-view Scheduler > Advanced Settings > ES Data Definitions > Shift Configuration.
  2. Select a unit and date and click Load.
    The shifts that are available for the selected unit and date are displayed.
  3. Click the pencil icon for the shift you want to clone and edit.
  4. Select Clone and Edit.
  5. Specify the attributes as needed. The Active Dates should be after the last used date displayed in the pop-up.
  6. Click Save.
A clone of the shift has been created for this child team as of the Active Dates.
