Displaying non-MVS shifts in ASV

You can display, edit, and apply MVS shift actions on schedules generated outside of Multi-View Scheduler (MVS) in ASV and Central Staffing. Examples of non-MVS schedules that you can edit include:
  • Schedule overrides applied from the timesheet
  • Employee shift patterns
  • Schedules generated from LFSO

In Details Edit mode, non-MVS shifts can be edited. In Mass Edit mode, non-MVS shifts are displayed, but cannot be selected until silent conversion occurs. Non-MVS shifts cannot overlap with an MVS shift on the same day.

If a full-day leave is applied on the same day as a non-MVS shift, then only the LTA is displayed on that day.

If a partial-day leave is applied on the same day as a non-MVS shift, then any work time overlapped by the leave time is treated as leave time. If the leave time overlaps with an overnight shift on a day, the LTA is displayed on the day on which the overnight shift starts. If the LTA starts after midnight, the Detail Day field is set to Next for the LTA in the Details Edit mode.

Contiguous segments of work time or leave time with the same time code are displayed as a single shift cell on a day. When viewing a shift with multiple times codes in Details Edit mode, each segment of the shift is displayed in chronological order.

Additional configurations for displaying non-MVS shifts

  • You can configure the Break labor metric fields and the Preserve Break Labor Metrics after Shift Edit check box in ASV shift details and Central Staffing to be shown or hidden in both screens.
  • You can also configure the registry /system/modules/emvs/NON_MVS_SHIFT_TYPE to define the shift type for non-MVS shifts.
  • You can also configure the registry /system/modules/emvs/NON_MVS_SHIFT_FONT_COLOR to define font color for non-MVS shifts.
