Areas in Master Rotation and One Time Schedules

Areas are used to divide large teams into smaller sub-teams to streamline the management of staffing and scheduling of employees. For example, in a hospital, an Emergency Unit with 250 employees can be divided into areas like Triage, Resus, Clinical Nurses, and Coaches.

When creating an MR/OTS with areas, the job rows are organized under area headers in the grid. Each header displays the total number of shifts for the day, and the jobs within each area are arranged according to the setup defined during MR/OTS creation. Additionally, you can add job rows to any area by right-clicking on a cell, selecting After or Before, and specifying the Area field.

See Adding jobs in MR/OTS template.

If all jobs within an area are deleted, the area header is automatically removed from the grid. You can also use the filter button to display specific jobs and areas in the grid.
