Shift inheritance

Sub-teams can inherit shifts belonging to a parent team that have the Apply to Sub-teams? check box selected. If this check box is selected when creating a shift configuration, then the shift is automatically inherited by all existing sub-teams of the team that the shift is created for. New sub-teams do not automatically inherit shifts from their parent teams, but they can manually inherit the shifts.

Note: Shifts created through an import are not automatically inherited by existing or new sub-teams even when the Apply to Sub-teams? check box is selected.

Sub-teams can modify inherited shifts to change the subscription dates, which control when the shift can be used in the sub-team's schedule. You can modify inherited shifts to provide coverage for different day parts when the shift is used in the sub-team's schedule. You can also clone an inherited shift to create a modified version of the shift that is specific to the sub-team.
