Activating a row version

Activating row versions in an MR applies the new shifts and labor metrics to the schedule during the effective dates of the row version.

Activating OTS template row versions applies the new shifts and labor metrics to future OTS schedules created from the OTS template. It does not affect existing OTS schedules based on the OTS template.

  1. When you are editing a single row, right-click in the Employee column of the row and select Activate. When you are editing a bulk row version, click ... > Activate.
    A pop-up is displayed to display the effective start and end date of the row version(s).
  2. Click Activate to confirm activation.
  3. If there are schedule compliance violations caused by the new row version(s), a dialog is displayed with a list of the warnings.
    • If only schedule compliance warnings are found, you can click Activate to confirm the new schedule.
    • To correct the schedule compliance warnings, click Close to cancel activation. This is the only option if schedule compliance errors are found.
The new row version(s) are activated. The row version(s) are closed, and you are returned to row editing mode.
After activating any row versions in an MR, you must process the MR to publish the schedule changes to other parts of the application.
