Configuring self-scheduling
The Real-time Self-scheduling (RTSS) feature allows employees to create their own schedules by selecting shifts from an open self-scheduling process. Self-scheduling processes determine which shifts employees can select, the times and dates when employees can self-schedule, and which employees are allowed to self-schedule. Employees use the Self Scheduling screen in the WFM desktop application to select their desired shifts.
Self-scheduling validates employees' selected schedules using self-scheduling rules and schedule compliance rules. This ensures that schedules comply with company policies. Shifts selected by employees in self-scheduling are unpublished shifts. After a self-scheduling process closes, schedule managers can edit the included shifts in other MVS screens before publishing the schedule.
