Grouping by associated jobs in Central Staffing
Central Staffing and ASV can be configured to combine data for associated jobs under the corresponding parent jobs. Grouping by associated jobs is enabled by setting the USE_ASSOCIATED_JOBS registry parameter to true.
For details on how grouping by associated jobs works in ASV, see Grouping by associated jobs in ASV.
When grouping is enabled, job cards are combined for each parent job and its associated jobs. This applies both to the Schedule Zone and Float Pool Zone. Coverage figures displayed in the Key Performance Indicator (KPI) panel and Schedule Zone are combined for each parent job and its associated jobs.
For example, the RN job has Junior RN as an associated child job and grouping is enabled. The Schedule Zone and Float Pool display job cards for RN that also include Junior RN shifts. Coverage figures are displayed for RN that combine RN and Junior RN shifts and staffing requirements. If two RN shifts and two Junior RN shifts are assigned during the displayed schedule period, then they are counted as four RN shifts for coverage purposes in the Schedule Zone. If all four shifts are scheduled during the same day part, then the KPI panel would display four RN shifts as covering that day part.
