Displaying shift labels instead of leave codes

In some cases, you may want to display the shift label instead of the leave code, in the shift cell. This procedure replaces the activity label and does not change the actual booked off status.

For example, if this procedure is used, then when an employee books off February 15 as a vacation day, the shift will continue to display the shift label and not a vacation leave code. To see the leave code, open the Details panel for the shift cell or hover your cursor over the shift cell.

To replace the leave code with the shift label for a shift cell:

  1. Select Scheduling > Multi-view Scheduler > Advanced Settings > ES Data Definitions > Activity Type Map.
  2. Click Edit beside the activity for the leave code that you want to replace with the shift label.
  3. Clear the check box in the Display On Shift column.
  4. Click Save.
Now when this leave code is selected, the leave label is not applied to the shift cell. However, the shift is still booked off.
