Time Off
Provides a Time Off Calendar to allow users to manage their time off requests. Users can also see holidays, blackout days, and the days on which they are scheduled, if configured to show. The calendar is based on the Time Off Planner.
For example, users can request time off, view existing requests and their status, and request cancellation of approved requests.
When users request time off on a day on which they are scheduled, their scheduled start and end times for that day are displayed at the top of the request, if the TOP_SHOW_SCHEDULE registry parameter is set to true. If the time off request is for multiple days, "Multi-day request" is displayed in lieu of schedule information.
When submitting time off requests, users can attach a supporting document to the request, if applicable. For example, when requesting time off for jury duty, users can include a copy of the summons with the request. Supported file types are PDF, DOC, DOCX, PNG, JPEG, and JPG.
In addition to time off requests, the calendar displays information about existing LTA overrides that were applied directly on the employee's timesheet. As LTAs have a direct effect on whether an employee is expected to be at work, information about these overrides is valuable to both employees and supervisors. Employees can view the details of LTAs that were applied directly on their timesheets, but they cannot edit or cancel these overrides within the calendar. Employees can submit a time off request on days that contain LTA overrides, provided the request does not conflict with the existing overrides. LTA overrides have a status of Applied.
The calendar can also display information about existing premium and elapsed time overrides depending on the LTA_OVERRIDE_TYPES_TO_SHOW_IN_TIME_OFF_PLANNER registry parameter. When configured, premium and elapsed time overrides with LTA time codes on the employee's timesheet are displayed. For these overrides, a duration is displayed instead of start and end times (for example, 3h 45m). The symbols for hours ("h") and minutes ("m") can be localized. Employees can view the details of these overrides, but they cannot edit or cancel these overrides within the calendar. Overrides have a status of Applied.
A legend is provided to explain the request statuses that can be displayed on the calendar:
- Unsubmitted
- Pending Approval
- Approved/Applied
- Pending Cancellation
