Internal Type
The Configuration Editor requires each location to have a specified internal type. This data is used by the application to categorize the different locations and determine how they are handled by the Configuration Editor.
The internal types that are supported by the application are as follows:
-
Corporate
Corporate entities contain other location types, including other corporate entities, stores, departments, and drivers. Corporate entities are used to represent regional or district locations and logical groupings of stores.
-
Store
Stores contain departments, drivers and their staffing requirements. A store is a parent location to all of the store’s department and driver entities and a child location to the corporate entity that contains the store.
-
Department
Represents the sub-location of a store. A department is always the child to the department’s parent store.
