Key Components
These components are used with jobs:
- Name
- The unique name for the job.
- Description
- A brief description of the job.
- (Associated) Job Set(s)
- A set of jobs with which this job would or should be associated. For example, a restaurant could have a job set called Service. The Service job set could include all customer-facing jobs, such as hostess, wait staff, bartender, and cashier.
- Active Date
- The active date for the job.
- Start Date
- The start date of the period for which the job is valid.
- End Date
- The end date of the period for which the job is valid.
- Labor Metric Security
- The data type to apply to the job:
- Restricted Data, where the job has access to restricted data, requiring more strict security permissions.
- Standard Data, where the job has access to standard data, requiring standard security permissions.
- Preferred Keyholder
- Indicates whether or not the job is related to holding a key for the location.
- Shift Offset

A value to be used by the application to schedule the shift start time for the specific job.
For example, cashiers might be required to arrive 15 minutes earlier than the scheduled shift begins and they actually begin servicing customers on the floor. They may require this 15 minutes to perform set-up tasks, such as counting the cash in their register.
- Unauthorized
- Indicates whether or not the records for this job require authorization by managers on the timesheet.
