Staff offsets
Staff offsets are used to define time that employees are required to work before or after a location's hours of operation. This can be useful when employees must perform opening or closing tasks. Staff offsets are configured at the department level by specifying the length of time that employees must arrive before opening time or stay after closing time. Staff offsets are specified in hours, or portions of hours, and are specified separately for opening time and closing time. You can configure a department to use the same staff offsets every day it is open. You can also configure different staff offsets for specific days of the week.
When schedules are generated, shifts created at the start or end of the department's hours of operation may be extended by the specified staff offsets to cover opening or closing time. Shifts are extended using the same set of jobs, activities, and skills as defined in the staff requirements.
