Middle Out

The Middle Out options starts the distribution in the middle of the workday. From the workday’s middle hour, the system distributes one hour forward, then distributes one hour backward. The system distributes one hour at a time until all the workday hours are distributed.

When configuring a middle-out distribution, you can set the percentage of the shift that is to be used as the middle.

If there is no middle point in the shift because there are even hours in shift, then the system starts with the hour that is earlier than the midpoint. The system moves forward and backward one hour at a time. For example:

1. A non-volume requirement is created for 8 hours from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM.
2. The system generates a workload for 1 person from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM and 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM and 2 people from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM.
