Specify this information:
- Volume Type
- Select the volume type that is applied to the location type
using the lookup. The volume type determines how the company tracks how busy
the location is for any given time. For example, the Revenue volume type means
the sales revenue of a location at a specific time is used to gauge how busy
the store is and the amount of staff that is required.
- Location Type Name
- Specify the name of the location type.
- Staffing Standard
- Select the staffing standard for the location type from the
drop-down list. This standard is applied to all locations of this location
type, unless otherwise specified in the location’s forecasting details.
- Forecast Interval
- Select the forecast interval to use for this location type
from the drop-down list. This interval specifies how time is allocated during
forecasting, based on the level of detailed volume information that is
available. For example, Point of Sale information captured every 30 minutes
creates a 30-minute interval. This interval is applied to all locations of this
location type, unless otherwise specified in the location’s forecasting
details.
