Configuring the due date for a variance response using an existing pay group

  1. From the homepage, select Maintenance > Payroll Settings > Payroll Close > Pay Group.
  2. Select a pay group.
  3. Click Edit.
  4. Specify this information:
    Pay Group
    Specify a name for the pay group.
    Description
    Provide a description of the pay group.
    Pay Group Type
    Defines the length and frequency of the group's pay period. Click the database lookup and select the group's pay period from the list.
    Payroll Administrators
    Select who can access the group during close processing. Click the database lookup and select the payroll administration from the list.
    Export Type
    Link the export configuration to the pay group. Click the database lookup and select the export type from the list.
    Hands Off Date
    Work records cannot be changed on or before the selected hands off date. Specify a date or click the calendar icon and select a date.
    Automatically advance Hands Off date on payroll close
    Select the check box.
    Start of Year / Day
    Click the calendar icon and select a date.
    Adjustments to be created for this group
    Select the check box to create an adjustment related to the payroll of the selected pay group.
    Adjustment Offset (days)
    Specify the number of days after the pay period end that adjustments can be created.
    Export of unauthorized records
    Select a permission type for how unauthorized records will be exported.
    Number of days to create pay periods into the future
    Specify the number of days in advance that the pay periods are generated. The number 365 is specified by default.
    Reporting Currency
    Specify the pay group's reporting currency.
    Currency Conversion Group
    Specify the pay group's currency conversion group.
    Extended Advance Term Payout
    Clear the check box. This check box is for advanced payments, like bonuses or loans, that can be paid out and repaid over a longer period of time, based on set terms.
    Labor Productivity Days Offset
    Specify the number of days offset from the pay period close date. 0 is specified by default.
  5. In the Current Pay Period, specify this information:
    Start Date
    The first day of the current pay or first pay.
    End Date
    The last day of the current pay or first pay.
    Lock Down Date
    Only authorized users can modify the timesheets for the specified lock down date.
    Automatically advance lockdown date on payroll close
    Select this check box. When this check box is selected, a lock down date is automatically set for the next pay period. Only authorized users can modify an old timesheet when this check box is selected.
    Timesheet Lockout
    The date when the lockdown date is moved to locked out unauthorized users.
    Time
    The time when the lockdown date is moved to locked out unauthorized users.
    Automatically advance timesheet lockout on payroll close
    Select or clear this check box. When this check box is selected, the timesheet lock down date is automatically set for the next pay period. Only authorized users can modify an old timesheet when this check box is selected.
  6. Click Save.
