Adding the IMS File Processing Task to a schedule

Create a schedule for the document using the IMS File Processing Task in the Job Scheduler.

  1. Select Maintenance > System Administration > Job Scheduler.
  2. Click Add Schedule.
  3. Specify the name of the IMS File Processing Task in the Task Description field.
  4. Select IMSFileProcessing from the Task Type drop-down list.
  5. Fill in the remaining fields. See "Adding tasks to the Job Scheduler" in the Infor Workforce Management Time and Attendance Implementation and Administration Guide.
  6. Click Submit.
  7. Click OK.
  8. In the Task Schedule list, click Parameters next to the IMS File Processing Task you created.
  9. Click Add File Processing Parameters.
  10. Specify this information:
    Document Name
    Select the document you created in Creating the document object. This is the document you want to process.
    Destination Folder
    Specify the name of the destination folder/directory.
    Destination File
    Specify the name of the destination file.
    Append Variation
    Select this option to append the Variation ID to the file name.

    Use this option to automatically differentiate the files for the same document name that arrive at different times.

    Overwrite File

    Select this option to overwrite a file with the same name.

    Note: If this option is not selected, the system returns an error if a file with an identical name exists. This prevents accidental data loss and other issues associated with overwriting files.
  11. Click OK twice.
  12. Optional. To add additional documents to this task, click Add File Processing Parameters.
    Note: You can also use this page to edit or remove existing documents.
  13. After adding all documents, click Submit and OK.
After the task has run, you can view the status by selecting Maintenance > System Administration > ION > BOD Auditing > IMS Inbound Document Status.
