Setting up location copy imports

Follow these steps to set up WFM to import location copies from CSV files.

  1. Create the CSV location copy import file.
    You must create the CSV location copy import file according to the file format specifications.

    See Location Copy import field specifications.

  2. Create a Java task in the job scheduler using the Aggregate Task option.
  3. Click the Parameters button for the new task.
  4. Select Import Task and Interface Task in the Available Task Types column and click Add/Remove.
  5. Click Configure Selected Tasks.
  6. Click Parameters for the Import Task.
  7. Specify this information:
    Import Type
    Select LOCATION COPY IMPORT.
    Use Default Transformer?
    Select this check box.
    File Name
    Specify the path to the Location Copy import CSV file on the job scheduler.
    UTF-Encoded
    Select this check box.
    Performs Difference
    Clear this check box.
  8. Click Submit then click OK.
  9. Click Parameters for the Interface Task.
  10. Select LOCATION COPY IMPORT.
  11. Click Next and then click OK.
  12. Click Back.
  13. Click Save.
  14. Run the task.
    The task runs and adds or updates the location copy in the CSV file.
  15. Verify new locations. Navigate to Scheduling > Schedule Optimization > Setup > Location.
  16. Verify new distributions. Navigate to Scheduling > Schedule Optimization > Forecast > Distribution Setup > Distribution.
  17. Verify new staff groups. Navigate to Verify new locations. Navigate to Scheduling > Schedule Optimization > Setup > Staff Group.
  18. Verify new schedule profiles. Navigate to Scheduling > Schedule Optimization > Setup > Schedule Profile.
